Default Supercharger Clutch

When this goes, does it do so gradually, or does it just "fail" ?

The last couple of days I seem to have lost some mid range "power". It still seems to pull like a beast from 5,000 rpm onwards, but seems flatter than it used to in the mid range. Could this be the supercharger clutch going, or could it be that I have had loads of town driving for a few days and I need to do a Throttle reset ? Also, It doesn't seem to change down so easily (less sensitive), kick down is fine.

Mine initially had a loud rattling noise on idle that made me take it to the dealer to have it checked out. They diagnosed to be the clutch failing but they had to order parts so i drove it around for a few days where i saw a decrease in performance.

No rattle yet, so maybe I'm ok on the clutch front. I will try a throttle reset and see if that makes a difference. Just need to do a search to see how to do it now...

Cheers,
Si

Did the reset and did a 400 mile round trip the same day with some aggressive driving and everything is going just fine again now. It down changes very easily and absolutely flies when you floor it at 40 mph. I love this car...it is even more fun than the Impreza STI PPP I traded in for it.
