I WANT MORE POWER !!! please help
so does any one know of any CHEAP mods to (1) turn OFF the esp and (2) to bet more power !!! i hate having a rear wheel drive sports car that doesn't even let you smoke the tires a little, i mean really the cross fire has been out long enough why can't i even find a simple chip or something ??? i'm up to any suggestions.
1) Speed Innovation ECU Tune (dyno proven 20 hp/tq to the floor)
2) SRT-6/SLK32 Intake Setup
3) Magnaflow Catback System
4) Sprint Booster (makes throttle response linear like in a cable driven system)
5) Turn off the traction control, you can spin the tires in a straight line but if you make any side to side motion the stability management will kick in...
is it a automatic ? cause my 6 speed can take off with the tires spinning without much motivation ...

You're gonna have to buy an interface to get into the CAN to adjust the TC sensitivity. I've seen guys wire in a switch inline with the accelerometer, so that they can interrupt signal coming out of it, thus allowing you to drive like a drift happy Jap kid. Also I've had success disconnecting the center hot lead going into the little black box that supplies power to the TC/ABS system.
hey its a six speed i've already looked into most of the stuff out there but no one has giving any proven power stats and the only cheaper mods like the sprint booster have had mixed reviews as of right now im saving (lil by lil) for the kleeman super charger and i have already had a set of custom cams made for the car i was mainly wondering if there where any techs out there that know the (Secrets) to opening these cars up also part numbers for benz equipment like big brake upgrades throttle bodies ect... with that said my car can ALMOST cheap third gear on dry pavement but i drag race it often and its just plain embarrassing (chirping) the tires in the burn out box !!! i'm looking for tire melting excitement ! and 12 second passes with out relying on the old friend nitrous, i work for a company that makes nitrous equipment (860 permence.com) but am trying to rely on the old school methods of making horse power first and using nitrous as a last resort i am also trying to do as much "cheating" as i can to make power by tricking the car itself and or using factory parts ether chrysler or MB before i begin to really VOID the warrenty!
Personally, if you were looking for that much horse in this car, you should trade yours in for an SRT6... turn off the traction control and smoke away!
Brake upgrades... SRT6... sway bar upgrade... SRT6... Putting an SRT6 super charger on your engine would NOT be wise. The internals of the SRT6 engine are different. Lower compression, different rods... and then there's the ECU issue.
Speed Innovations has already PROVEN that they can open up these cars. I'm sure they could 'tweak' the traction control parameters or simply turn it off all together through the ECU.
Good luck!

I think you bought the wrong car man. this is a GT road car, not an asphalt melting animal. Test drive a EVO9, Z06, or Twin turbo Viper.
Otherwise find a custom shop to fab in some turbos and go ***** out.

definitely bought the wrong car but if you feel very attached to it and feel the need to do this ... cheapest way is a remote mount turbo system as there is a crap load of room in the muffler area and plenty of space in the hatch for a nice water injection system and a separate oil pump and tank for the turbo (its the better way to do this Vs. running it off the engines oil system) ... extra injector with a megasquirt or greddy emanage to run it tapped off the stock fuel rail schrader valve (the valve thread is 4 AN, use a schrader valve removal tool to make it a open line) ...
then just keep that water tank full and run low boost on a nicely sized turbo to hit those high numbers ... run out of water, say bye to motor ... unless you lower compression or retard the timing.

yea i know its not the fastest 1/4 mile car but that's half the fun i love the looks of the car and want to build something different i just dumped off my '05 gto (11.4) best 1/4 mile because too many of them are turning up night after night with the same mods as for the srt 6 yes i am still pissed that chrysler didn't make it in a six speed that's my major pet peeve as i am VERY anti automatic does any one know of there reason for not making a six speed srt 6 and or has any one else heard of the rumors there ARE three or four six speed srt6's out there some where in the world ???
most merc designs are like that ... more money to buy a faster car does not guarantee more driving skill ... hence the faster mercs have automatics that are much better than what you think of as an automatic ... i once was very anti automatic too, until i drove a properly built automatic.
so enjoy the slow car (yes it is slow compared to your old GTO, is it not ?) and take some corners ... then put the money somewhere more useful ... hmmm the car may last longer that way too.
PS i drove a slow 6 speed as well and am quite happy with it now ... once i got over the speed bug i had from the skittle 4 before it and my turbo r/t before that...
