Well, it's the second day after our 1st "check engine" light came on (P0335 CPS). I reset the alarm and many starts later, no alarm, knocking on my wooden head for luck here. Maybe just a fluke, maybe fate, there were a lot of Indiana state troopers out yesterday so I baby'd her home.

Usually, once the error starts popping, it will just get worse, until it fails hard. You dont want to be stuck out on the road when you cant start your car.

I went to the Mercedes Dealership to get it and the part has been updated to part 003 153 28 28 and it cost $153.90 for the original Mercedes part.
I would say overall that it's easier than replacing a spark plug, but it's in a tight space and you can't really see or maneuver too much. If you're good with mechanics and you have the right tools it should take about 20 minutes to replace, not the 1.25 hours of labor quoted to me.
I've included a bunch of pictures so if you guys ever run into the problem.

I ordered one for $39.11, too.
I also ordered a couple of other things to bring the total up another $11.00 and got FREE shipping (a savings of $10.39 and only paid 61 cents for the spray wax!)
One note on the photos of the part. I ordered and received the Bosch 0 261 210 170 which looks identical to the part you've labeled as your original. In other words, you list the part on the left as the new and the part on the right as the old one; mine looks exactly like the part on the right

Hello fellow Crossfire lovers. New to this forum and hoping someone can assist. Just dropped off my 2004 at the local dealership and what I got was a qoute for $1030.00 + for a Crank Sensor and also an "Engine Relay Bank". In just a few minutes on the net I learned all about the Sensor, but an "Engine Relay Bank"? Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
