Redline with the ESP fuses pulled!
I was proven wrong tonight...it IS possible to get to redline with the fuses pulled for the ESP program. (fuses 17 & 18)

I got completely sideways in second. (not in the video...I had to steer, shift, and hold a little camera on Michigan roads! Gimme a little slack!)
I had to make a video of the tachometer just to prove it can be done!

I guess I was proven wrong as well... It surely doesn't work on my 2004 6 spd though... And I've tried a dozen different times... Finally had to disconnect the YAW sensor...
Ya...it surprised the hell out of me too! I still think I'll keep the fuses in though...I don't like the thought of giving up my ABS and stability for driving in traffic.
Don't forget that your front wheels were in motion. If you try that on a dyno, it may top out at around 5,000 RPM. Or if you try to do donuts, because of the YAW sensor input.
Nice video though.
Cheers!

PS. If you do disable the ESP be careful, the rear will break away quite suddenly when it does go.

But as Woody said, you will throw a light on the dash... But it will go away after a couple of driving hours after you re-attach the sensor wires...
I think i pulled the right sensor. is it located next to the hand brake, behind the shifter. i got under there and pulled the first thing i saw that matched what you said it was. the ESP BAS light came on i couldnt control the TC and so i thought i was in business, but come to find i cant rev over 4000 RPM and it bogs down worse than ever.

Hey i also just went out to my car right now to check the fuse box on the inside of the car like i read elsewhere on this forum but the fuses on the inside dont go to 18 only 14 and 13 and 14 are not used. the fuse box inside the engine bay have 17 and 18 as spares, and they were empty when i checked. please someone assist me here.

i disconnected my yaw sensor as well just now and the esp light does come on but the trac light in the dash stays off and i have no control over it. i can rev to 6k still but traction control is on and stays on. next i am going to try disconnecting the battery and that makes the esp light and trac light come on but i don't know for how long.
Nope no luck. I also tried disconnecting the middle fuse labeled traction, in the little box over by the battery and the abs and esp light came on but I still have traction control.
