Default Help my car keeps dieing on me!?

I have an '04 crossfire and I was driving and when I was slowing down to stop at a stop light it just died before the car was to a complete stop. I put it in park and tried starting it and it started right away. Then three days later the same thing happened. I was driving and pulling up to a stop light and right before the car was to a complete stop it died again but this time it wouldn't start again. I kept trying to start it but nothing would happen at all. It wasn't responding. Then a good 10 to 15 minutes later it turned on again. Then the next day the car drove fine the whole day but later on when I was leaving and the car was parked in the driveway like an hour and when I tried to start it nothing would happen at all. Again 10 to 15 minutes later it started. What is going on??? Help please. My check engine light is not on so I don't know what to do.

My old Honda did pretty much the exact same thing you described to me and it was my fuel pump...take it to a mechanic and ask them to test the electrical and to take a look at the fuel pump.

Not sure if the car is still under warranty but you're look at least $250 for the pump (Chrysler Parts Direct), plus labor.

This is a common Mercedes problem. You can go to any Autozone and they will scan the tripped codes for free. You will probably find out that it is a crankshaft position sensor. This is easily changed if you work on your own car. Total cost to do it yourself is about $80. The cost to have the dealer do will be close to $300.

To do it yourself, you will need a torx screw driver and about 10 minutes of your time.
