Default Manual Trans into a SRT

I know in some ways this has been covered but has anyone thought of putting something like a tremec into an SRT.

Tired of the Auto and want to buy a SRT for the US used there US$17K or here in AU around US$45+

Just a thought.
thanks in advance
Hugo

HDDP is putting an SRT6 engine in his 2004... you would probably want to look through his thread on that project for more information... maybe get a hold of him and see what info he has.

Cheers!

I think you need a Manual transmission ecu correct? I would stick with the oem trans, it will handle 400hp and 480hp with internal modifications. if your looking for a better deal on the crossfire transmission, they are also used in the late model jeeps, I think its the Cherokee or something like that, check ebay for the trans. There is also a diesle version of our 6 spd that has a 5:1 1st gear, which would be strange to use in the Crossfire unless you lower the final drive gear somehow.
