Default Train horns & Xfire...

Am I crazy for considering this? Have you guys seen the blasthorns? I think it would be hilarious if you hit someone with one of these especially out of your xfire.

Also, does anyone know:

1) will it fit
2) is it possible to keep your existing horn and add a switch/button for the blast

the website is hornblasters.com I'd ignore the prices listed because I think they are available eslewhere for cheaper, here's a video:

*we can't embed videos?

That would be cool and the video is funny, but might cause the driver to need a fast get away plan.

Hard to disagree with that...is it going to fit somewhere?

As long as you're willing to give up space in the cabin for the compressed air tank.

As someone who jogs and bikes, and is a law enforcement officer I don't see the humor in these and frankly you could likely get a ticket for using them. LE uses similar sounding "air horns" to clear traffic and having souped up cars with similar sounds is both counterproductive and dangerous. But hey, thats me.

I will also take this into consideration, I for one do not think its all that funny, I'm gonna use more for safety/show for friends. I happen to like the sound of the horn and think its kind of cool

guy i used to work with had one and would set it off with an air hose tied into the plant compressors...he'd fire it off at break time. the shirts never found it.

kinda cool but i don't know if it belongs on a car. maybe a bad-*** lifted truck...

Those train horn vids are funny as hell, I seen them a year or so ago. There are not quite as loud but much cheaper alternatives that do not require a huge air tank.

I agree. This is probably the stupidest most juvenille thing I have seen. If I was walking my dogs and you blew that crap off next to me you'd get a rock thrown at your car. But they don't show that on the video cuz it would hurt sales. This is equivelant to shooting a gun with blanks off at people. Not cool.

I had a friend that was an avid train horn collector and restorer. He had 3 sets including a rare "5 bell" set and a 200 gallon air tank to run it all. The true horn honker guys DO NOT use them for scaring people or being annoying. They have "honk-offs" meeting up in a valley somewhere to listen to the echos from a well tuned set of horns. On a very rare occasion of being cut-off he might hit em to let them know he was there and rattle their windows for being stupid.
I might add that the other videos where you see they mounted them under the car will make them useless pretty fast when they get full of dirt and water.
