Check engine light came on.
It's finally a nice day and decided to go for a cruise in the roadster and about a mile down the road my check engine light popped on. I went to autozone and he checked the codes and the code was PO453. The kid had no ideal what the code meant. I had him clear the codes and I'll see if it comes back on. Does anyone know what his code is and if you think it might be a hiccup in the system or have a problem.
Yes-but it has not been shipped to me yet. I'd like to get this cleared up before installing it. The cars still in warranty and I'm sure they give me a hard time about his CAI

I'd do what FP said to do and see if it comes on again. You can find info on the codes here.http://homepage.mac.com/gregmeach/XF...r_9-Engine.pdf
Hopefully you don't have a clogged fuel filter..............you're not gonna want to see the bill to have that sucker replaced.
I just replaced mine this past week(necessary when you convert to E85 fuel) and the filter was $176+ tax(and labor if you can't do it yourself) retail..............luckily I got it for "only" $95 which is dealer cost no tax.
I'll check the gas cap and keep you posted. I would hope it's not the filter only has 4k on it. sat in the garage a month without running maybe some pressure built up.

Gas isn't like wine............it doesn't get better with age. Unless you put fuel stabilizer in your tank while it rots away in the garage the fuel will break down and eventually get sucked up and into the filter.

FP- I know you are. Update took the car out yesterday and the light came on before I got out of the driveway. Guess it goes to the dealer next week. Man thats a scary thought.
Took car into local dodge dealer yesterday and had to leave it overnight. Dealer was really good and left the car inside overnight so nothing could happen to it. Picked it up today and they replaced the fog lights (got parts overnight) and had to order the siren. They found the problem with the check engine light on (code PO453) to be a corroded connection on the fuel tank. They cleaned and lubed the connector. Was very pleased with the service and gave me a new vehicle to drive overnight. When I get the new siren installed I'll let you know if the car chirps. I supplied them with the new part number for the siren which members state chirps.

LOL
