This reportedly increases efficiency and cools the supercharger and is recommended on many sites including the site I bought my kit from.
I bet it wouls be easier to send it off for a thick plate of chrome, that will tighten up the gap clearance

Chroming is an awesome idea. I bet it would keep the heat down as well.

Did you get the supercharger installation manual?

there is a little page showing the hook up of the FMU system installed and where vacum should be pulled too. hope it help, some parts may require a little bablefish translation but you should be able to figure it out.

Got the manual, remarkably similar to what I'm doing. Thanks, I did get some ideas out of it.

Got a new coupler for the sc. The old one has a spring that wears out. The new one is a solid composite design. It's installed onto the snout in the picture. I've decided to hold off on modding the supercharger any further until I see what kind of boost its actually going to build. Manifold pics should be posted by Saturday.

I would be interested in buying a manifold from you Chuck. let me know how much it will cost.
I just don't have time or the energy to pull my welder out of storage. would you like to do a group buy on this, maybe we can get 10-20 people in on this, make it worth your time, ay?

Will do. I'm not saying that I would never be interested in building and selling intakes. I'm just in no position to do such a thing at the moment. Within the next two months it may become possible.

I had some clearance issues with the first set of manifolds so I'm starting on a new set.

I'm hand cutting and port matching out of 1/2" Aluminum plate. I transferred the exact shape with paper and charcoal. It takes a lot of time, hopefully it will be worth it.
Here is a link for some intake building basics.

The flanges are setup nearly identical to the factory flanges. The injectors end up being about 1/8" closer to the intake valves because of the difference in flange thickness. The clearance problem I had was with the fuel injector rail. My runners were too upright and the rail would not go back on. My next runners are going to be canted towards the supercharger to get around this. I'm aiming for the runners and plenum volume to equal 3.2 liters. I should have some results posted by next weekend.
