Default hi guys need some advice...

i have a roadster 04 plate and recently the spoiler is mis behaving, it will go up and down manually when stood still, but when you are on the move it goes up then the button on the dash flashes and it wont go down when it should,
i have to resart the car and do it manually with the button,
the last thing is as soon as you go over 85 mph it beeps at me, any info on this would be much appreciated,
cheers jon

Are you getting any warning lights on the dash ? ABS/ESP ?
Mine did the same thing, but was accompanied by these warning lights. I ended up replacing the right rear speed sensor. 70 bucks from Benz and about 20 minutes worth of work.

I don't know anything about the workings of the spoiler. But from what you described it sounds as though there must be some sort of "sensor" (that tells the computer what location your spoiler is in) that isn't working.
Since it doesn't know when to go back down on its own, or that it is up when you are going over 85mph. It sounds as though the only thing that it is doing right is go up when it's supposed to. But after that, the computer is in the dark and not getting the proper info, or signal.
I looked in my service repair manuals but couldn't find anything about it.
I hate to say it, but you may just have to take it back to the dealer.
Good Luck

I suggest you take it to someone who can run a scan on the computer and pull out the codes. That's how I found out it was the speed sensor on mine. But again I had warning lights on for the ABS/ESP, but the wing acted indentically to what is going on with yours.
Hope this helps !
