Air Bag warning Light - comes on when seat is moved
Hi
Help! I've been told by my local dealer that this is a common fault- the airbag warning lights comes on when I move my drivers seat and stays on until the dealer has reset it and the computer says there is no fault ! The dealer says its because the wiring sometimes becomes snagged under the seat therefore the car senses a fault.
This wouldn't be a problem except my partner is 6ft 2" and I'm 5ft 4" so I have to move the seat lol!
Has anyone else experienced this problem??
Cheers

You could get pedal extensions!!
Seriously though, I would take in for service and demand this be fixed.
I've had to let my tiny brother and father drive my car numerous times with no airbag light.
I'm 6"2 / 3.

should do the trick...
Kidding, had similar problem on Chrysler Lebaron Coupes back in 90"s.
Removing seat and installing corrugated wirring cover and electrical tape properly isolated wires and got rid of problem, don'y know maybe same cure would work

The sensor wiring on the passenger seat hangs down where its plugged in and gets damaged or the plug comes loose. As stated just carefullu check the routing and operate seat both directions.
