Ecu
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to have a backup ECU that has been upgraded so you can swap out the performance one whenever you may want? Or if it is at least possible to have a backup ecu programmed and ready to go, in case of failure? I'm just concerned, 10 years from now, I might have an ECU failure and there will be no one around that can program a new one ????
If you want to buy the extra ECU and have it programmed for your VIN, yes it would work. I tried swapping the ECU's between my two SRT's when I was having a startup problem(bad crank sensor). The car did not like that. It checked the new ECU and wouldnt do anything.

Yes you can swap the ECU/PCM Module but you will have to have the VIN flashed in order for it to work. I recently sold a NIB OEM ECU/PCM to one of our forum members for $300.00, since I no longer own a Crossfire.
