RE: seat heaters
Just was wondering if anybody else has problems with their seat heaters not turning on when its 10 degrees or colder
When I try to turn them on, the red lights just blinks and wont stay on, I play with the switch and eventually I can get it to stay on low only, and only one seat, if I try to turn the other one on also, it shuts them both off again, then after awhile they both begin to work properly. I think its a controll module not working properly, and also have had the drivers seat lower heat grid replaced, and the technician also said he found the wires pinched for the module, but repaired them, I still have warranty left, but wanted to check with the rest of you folks first.

Take it back to the dealer and have them replace the heated seat control module. When my seats went out in 2005 they just replaced the seats in totality....still did not work....Tech then replaced the control module. After that I did not have any other issues with my seats heating properly.

That is normal. Mine do that too, and figured out they won't work until the leather warms up to some degree. They strobe on high, low will stay on for a bit but will effectively shut down. This is apparently normal for these. My Cadillac would always come on. These, they will after about 2 minutes of sitting on them, when the temps are below 0.
Well this is what I am trying to find out, if it is normal for the X-Fires, I have had many cars with seat heaters and never have had to warm up the bun warmers with my own buns first, before they worked. My Saab Areo always came on at any temp, and like I mentioned before, I really do not remember my 04 X-Fire having this same problem, and I owned that one for just over 2 years, before I got the 05 SRT. I would have to agree with CrossfireLTD that the controll module is not functioning properly, but before I take it in to the Dealership and complain, I want to make sure so that they do not just blow me off, like so many of them do, when they don't know what to do, or how to fix it.
