HELP-Vibration after winter storage
Code:
I would have said flat spots, our 1992 Vette got them on F1 when it sat for a few months. Max pressure and a sort drive to heat up the tires got them out. Now its sits on pads to stop flat spots. Do you konw if there was any of the flat stop gel in the tires? if someone had put that in there it would have all settled in the bottom and could cause the problem.
Call me confused or dumb (sometimes I can be pretty dense) but we both experienced the same issue with two completely different storage scenarios? I'm happy that both of our cars "fixed" themselves I just don't think we have a consistent cause for the effect we both had?
Stay safe...
Respectfully,

Hi, I would read this from TireRack on flat spots. The new high performace low profiles have a compound that will flat spot if not stored correctly. At a $1000+ a set I would do somthing when storing them to prevent flat spots. I have heard from 8-10 layers of carpet to $300 on a pad that will prevent them. If we are storing for a very long time we take the tire off and store them.
