Code Reader / Logger
Ok I did a search and found a few references. So far the only reader I have worked with were built in to "tuners"
What is a good reader/logger (or at least live data display)
Loading data to a PC would be a bonus.
So far the Equus 3130 looks interesting. ($150)
Any recommendations, experience, or things to avoid?
Please be specific with manufacturer/models - why you like or dislike.
THX

Chk. out autoenginuity.com I have their PC based scan tool that they describe on their website. Been about a yr. now for me & I learn something new about it's capabilities everytime I run a scan with it. I think I paid around $249.00 or so. Later this yr. they exect to have an enhanced pkg. avail. to run thru this scan tool that will let you see all modules on our Xfires as does the DRBIII.
The DashDAQ is a lot more expensive, but it does a lot more. It's a datalogger and will read and clear codes. The bonus comes with the electronic gage displays. Check them out at www.dashdaq.com. I really enjoy having one. But it is pricey at about $500. But I'm sure Rob at NeedsWings could get you a good price on it. Add on a Zeitronics ZT-2 for a wideband AFR and you've really got something.
AutoTap. I've used it for two yearsnow on several cars and its crazy. here's the webiste, check it out yourself. http://www.autotap.com/
70GT6, I have the Eqqus 3130 and it is a good ODB reader...but not a great data logger. It only traps a very short data stream. It works as advertised..just not enough data logging. I am trying to decide which to get for data logging too.
