Ok, so I got in my car last week and the got going down the highway and the wing came up like normal but a few seconds later the wing button started flashing. I also noticed that the wing seems to try and go up to far. Like once it hits the top it seems to want to keep coming up even though it cant and has already reached full open. Also, once the wing has come up, it wont go back down until I turn the key off and then back on and it seems to reset itself. Anyone with any ideas would be great. Unfortunatly I'm trying to sell my car to get a truck for work, but I can't sell it with this issue going on. Thanks anyone.

 

One possible cause is that the "up limit" switch is not working or out of adjustment. Pop of the rear hatch trim, (one screw inside the handle area) and be sure both connectors are tight.

Just off-hand, I'd have to say James1539 has it right. He's taken this apart and knows this little mechanism pretty well...
