Default Locking Car Security Chirp

I just picked up an 05 SRT. The remote will lock/unlock the car and I can see the lights flash.

There is no audible chirp when doing this. The panic button does work.

Before I take it to the dealer I just wanted to know if there is something simple I am missing.

Thanks in advance,
Jake80

Original set up does not chirp. In order to get a chirp you need to update the to the new style horn or there is a DIY option here on the forum.

No chirp, thats for girly boys. Let's face it if its a mans car then it should burp.

If you want the factory part that is an updated security/alarm horn module, the part number is in my signature. If memory serves it costs about $70 and is kinda a pain in the rear to install. I like it as it is not a loud annoying chirp like many US cars. It is more subtle and less attention attracting, but loud enough that you know you locked the car without have to look for the flashing lights.
