Red face ASP Pulley Kit from Needswings

Hi guys. I bought my Srt6 roadster new in 05 and have been very happy with it. I’ve taken it to the track and it runs 13.1, 13.2 consistently.

Now I’m looking to do some mods. Here lies my problem: I LIVE IN AUSTRALIA! It’s like living on an island in the middle of nowhere that’s about 10 years behind the United States in terms of technology and car modes and have nothing available to us.

I'm looking to get the air intake and ASP Pulley Kit from needswings shipped here.

My problem is there is no-one that can do any chip tuning here and am not keen on sending my ECU to the states.

Have any of you guys installed the pulley with no ECU tune?? And if so how would it run? Any complications?

Over here I can get the upgrade from powerchip but not sure if that’s tuned to compensate for extra boost.

If anybody has any information or suggestions please help me out. People in the states are so lucky, they have access to everything...

Thanks guys.

I had the same car and did only those two same mods and it made a huge difference in power but at the expense of my gas mpg going down about 3-4mpg (same driving). The car ran very rich as the tailpipe was very, very dark. This was just my experience and my guess is that it varies somewhat.

The car ran super well and there were no idle issues. The only downside was decreased mpg. I'm sure there would have been more power had I leaned it out a little.

I never had a tune and it was not needed with the 178 or 181. Woody with a 185, and doing my own tune for now. WOODY

Chart is the 185, I wrote 181 in error. Please note the temp and the time, there was a rushed, no cooling period set of runs, dynos here are just limited in all manners. WW

project mayhem has been running a pulley without a tune for a while, with no complaints.

Thanks for the reply guys. It was very helpful.

I'll start with the pulley, air intake and a set of bigger rubber and go from there.

I'm running a 192mm crank pulley on the roadster without a tune.
AFR's (yes I FINALLY got a wideband!) at the top of third is around 11.2.
Not running lean as others expected.
Just don't run wide open for extended periods if you have a BIG pulley or are running stacked. You might have SC bearing problems!
