Just got my xfire back from the dealer where they fixed the rear hatch rattle and wind noise problem. I also voiced displeasure over the radio display being washed out by sunlight and the dealer informed me that they are simply replacing any radios that have this problem. It made the whole process run much smoother to go into the service department armed with TSBs and info gleaned from this forum! Keep up the excellent flow of information. New stereo being shipped and should have it in about a week.
Had the radio replaced with the new display model on Friday! Haven't drove it after dark but the daytime, bright sunlight, washed out screen is gone for good. Is this a great country or what!!! Next will be the brake pads.
What are we going to do when everything is perfected? Guess I'll just have to drive it and continue to enjoy.

Some where shipped from the factory without the factory-protection being removed. Thus, once installed they cannot be used. The LED just shows "PROTECTED" and won't respond. The "fix" for this is put the old one back in, and order another replacement.
(BTW: My replacement came in like last week. No further problems. But, man it takes forever to kick on when you start the car).
