Default Cigar Lighter Problem

Got the car back from the dealer, which was a horrible experience and my first time at a dealer, and they took out my car charger and put the cigar lighter back in. No problem, fine and dandy, but...

It is pushed in, as if someone tried to light a cigarette or something, but it won't pop out. So, i just have a cigarette lighter that is permanently pushed in. It wiggles a bit, i don't think its stuck, but rather that it won't "pop."

Any ideas? How would i go about removing the son of a gun? I really need my car charger for my Palm Pre, the battery always dies...

I pressed mine in and tried to pry it out with the ignition off and it is locked in. It only popped out when the ignition was on and it heated up.
I have noticed on some lighters that if you turn them they make contact and then they heat and pop out.
Could your fuse be blown?

I don't mean to derail the thread. But I have to ask...how that Palm Pre is working out for you?

My glovebox light is out. I am sure that it's a fuse now, I checked the panel and the reference sheet says that they share the circuit. I gotta find a 15 amp fuse now. There should be some in the garage...

Palm Pre is working out fantastic, few bugs but those are to be expected from a first generation phone (or car...). I find myself missing my iPhone 3G, but only because of Facebook. Hopefully, Palm will understand that I desperately need a dedicated application and release one in conjunction with Facebook (Android iteration is horrible).

I have gone from an i870, to Samsung Upstage, to Iphone, iPhone 3G, Tmobile G1 (HTC Dream), Palm Pre. I might switch to iPhone 3GS, but it's up in the air. Cars are awesome, but cell phones are a passion. Many people have told me that I should be a tech blogger or something along those lines.

badseed, check your fuse box (under hood in driver's side corner) and you should find some spare fuses. One of each amp originally came with the car, all in a row nearest the fender. Try to keep it stocked.

Good luck.
