If he could do that, wouldnt it have been better if he took that engine and put it into an SL 55 or 63? I think those are better than an SLK...

If they wanted to do that they could've just bought an SL65 and modded it.............the SLR powered SLK is VERY unique and can't be copied easily.

 

i would venture a guess that the slk is much lighter than any of the sl models. lite car monster engine giant smiles!

i agree with you on the looks. but the maintenence on the sl55 is just absurd. 5000$ for a brake job! 3000$ for airmatic repair and the list goes on and on. at least with my slk32 i can do a large part of the work myself. no need for star diagnostics just to do a brake pad replacement!
