Default Cool Queue cooling fan and IC pump controller

I didn't want to hijack Pizza's thread so I started a new one. Who's interested in a fan controller/IC pump controller?

For the SRT6 guys, it's as easy as wiring in the module and running the wire to the empty spot where the wing button is and using that. For the NA guys, I'll have to think of something else clever to achieve the same thing since you don't have an open spot. Probably the easiest way to do this would be to use the towing switch and just make it an on/off switch. What's everybody's thoughts?

Something like this would probably sell for $60 and you'd have to provide your own switch.

Rudy, this would allow us to turn the fans and/or IC pump on at will??

i would hope you have the ic pump hardwired to be on all the time...
the switch would just be a over-ride for the can controller to keep it on whenever the circuit is closed (or open) depends on how its setup

You have to hardwire the pump and cooler to stay on is that what you are saying to use this?

no need to hardwire the pump to be on all the time. rev the engine to 2000 rpm. pump comes on and stays on until the engine is shut off
only need for this is running the pump at the track with the engine off

ah, didnt know that.
but personally i would leave the pump on all the time, that intercooler will heatsoak fast sitting in traffic, etc. without coolant flowing through it.

fantastic rudy. i forsee the use of this as someone would pop the hood between runs at the track and turn this on and it would turn on the fan and IC pump WHILE THE ENGINE IS OFF in order to help cool the car down before the next pass. cool!

I had installed a I/C pump override and tried it for a while.

Rudy, we have discussed the fan controller a couple of times, at what speed would it run?

Full on or variable or maybe set to some intermediate value??

That is where Id be interested; to cool the front end while in line at the track or autocross field.

Definitely a good idea especially for the track.

My thoughts are make it run full speed. The whole reason to do this is to remove as much heat as we can as quickly as possible.

I have faced facts - $60 is a fair price for the convenience of getting YOU to do the homework on this.
I don't have an SRT, but I want to cue the fan on my own.

Put me on the list, Rudy.

Did anyone actually try this? Thinking of doing the same thing myself.

It ended up being made into something more universal.

Ok, that's cool. I'm assuming this is no longer being offered but what i was really wanting to know is if there is somebody who actually put a extra fan on the H/E and wired it up to a switch while also overriding the pump. any proof that this will actually help lower IAT's inbetween drag passes?
