Interior Door Handles
Anyone else have their interior door handles bust?
My passenger side broke (aparently) some time last week. I don't have passengers often. Night before last I was out with a friend and he couldn't get out of the car. I thought he was just being overly gentle. So, I jokingly got out, opened the door (from the outside) and helped the 'feeble old man' out. (He is 30 after all).
Then, after I dropped him off, I took a closer look at it, the handle wasn't sitting in the correct position, like hanging out and downward. Tried it, sure enough, no resistance in there. Feels like it just popped loose from the mechinism, one way or another.
Don't know what caused it. I don't think anyone was rough on it.
Anyway, goes in Tuesday.
Be careful with those handles!

Yeppers, I'm the lucky winner, all right. At least I am getting my money's worth out of that warrenty. And, making sure Chrysler is paying for a Rental car everytime, if I need one or not. (Just my own petty revenge).
My favorite is dropping the car off for service, getting a rental. Take the rental directly to the airport, and park it for a week. Renting another car at my destination (company dime). Return and take the rental directly back to the dealer and get in the crossfire.
Also, rented a pick-up for a week (personal, needed a 4x4 to do some heavy yard work). Return it, next day back for a service freebie, and get the same truck right back to keep working on the yard.
Anyway,
Took it in today. No fuss. One 30 second look, and 'Okay, we will order a new handle for you.'
Also had them peek at the radio for the replacement, went about as fast.

AZ Outlaw,
You can have the title. With my blessing!
Here, I'll even shine up the tiara for you (careful: drops to a neutral position, over your eyes, when resting on your ears. It rattles a bit too. But, don't worry, I had my dealer change the oil). The sash has some miss-spellings (words go up instead of down). And, while trying to see what radio station I was on the wind creeping through the bad molding blew the roses away (Tried to catch them but couldn't open the door). I have a local tow company hooking up a fresh boquette for you.

Okay, got the handle replaced. No problem (woo!! They actually fixed something the first time! The service manager didn't see the humor in my congradulations on their first satisfactory Crossfire Service, though).
Anyway, replacing the handle fixed a rattle in my Passenger door I had been trying to track down since the day I got it. So, apparently the handle was near broke the whole time, then finally just gave out completely. Their one success is tainted by the fact that they had that door apart at least a half-dozen times before (wind noise, and they broke the window) and never noticed the problem, and I reported the rattle every time I took it in.
So, if you have a rattle in your door you might have them take a look at the interior handle, or just bust it loose yourself first.
