Tools for Crossfire
The main thing is a good torx socket set (male and female). Just about everything on this car has torx nut and bolts. Other than that, a ~$100 craftsman mechanics toolset should cover most of your needs.
If you are just getting started on tools, here is a good set like I spoke of that will keep you in the $100 range, and it will have a deep well 17mm socket in it. This is normally $150 on sale for $100.

I am a tool nut so I have a good set of tools, I saw the set in the photo for $100 on sale, list was $300 (over priced), its a Stanley 149 piece set with a lifetime warranty and I thought my son would like it for Christmas. It has not got any metric wrenches so that's not too good for the Crossfire. He might be lucky to see it as I like it maybe a little too much, I like the black chrome look.
This set is called a universal set, never used it but it fits 6 point, 12 point, Torx, Spline etc. on sale so..I got it.

Thanx people for your input .... I do have basic SAE tools and sockets, plus I have a nice set of Craftsman combination wrenches in metric. I guess I'm off to buy a torx set (male and female) and a set of metric sockets. Thanx again
Speaking of tools... does anyone know where to find that accessory utility that's mentioned in the manual? When I bought my car I read part of the manual and it mentioned this thing, but I have yet to find it.
Look in the glove box, the little pouch between the seats and under the floor of the trunk. Maybe under the seats too......
It is like an Easter egg...... it could be anywhere...or nowhere
dont forget the console....

Thanks...Ben
I got a cheap set of E sockets from Harbor or Homely Depot that has 10 sockets (4,5,6,7 8, 10,12,14,16,18) that seems to cover pretty much everything so far......
The fronts are, they dont turn, only the nuts.
Same with the rear. The torx side of the bolt has an indexed flat spot the fits into the lower subframe mount

Infinite – Thanks for the explaination, I know what you mean. I had to install the special camber bolts on the front end. They only go in with the flat side facing one side or another depending on what camber angle correction you need. The rear lower control arms had standard shaft bolts with T55 heads. To get the camber in on the rear I had to install Kmac adjustable bushings.

The manual describes a special "tool" that comes with the car, that many owners have either lost or don't have now. They use this to turn a nut when unlocking the convertigble top to raise it in an emergency.
What size is this spanner, and can a open end wrench in metric accomplish this? If so .....what size?
