Tyre size question
Hello all.Been away but back to bug you all again!Would putting 255/40 on the rear instead of 255/35 cause any problems? The price difference here in South Africa between the two is substantial .I'm sure there must info about this before-sorry. thanks .oh!BTW My two cats at the rear started rattling
,before I go ahead i'd like your input. We are not as "green" as the US and cats here are a crazy price, the guys remove them and replace with small silencers-any input on this ? Here the rear cats are about US600!!!!!! The car otherwise is great-pics to follow. Cheers . good luck with the football tonight.I will wait for the info before I tell you all I'm an England sup.............??
Hi. I put 245/40/19 on the rear of my XF. I did this because I wanted to get a little more sidewall height to give a somewhat smoother ride. I didn't go to a 255/40/19 because I did not want to throw off the speedometer so much. After the change, I see no appreciable change in the speedometer.
As far as the cats go, many people in states other than California gut the cats or remove them. It should not affect the operation of the car.
