Default Least Expensive way to Monitor A/F - Wideband 02

I am looking for suggestions on the least expensive way to monitor my A/F ratio on the street. This is not something I am looking to run all the time - basically I want to monitor my car under a number of circumstances to make sure the ratios are good. Then I plan on pulling the system out.

I could go with something like this: Innovate Motorsports Wideband LC-1 LC1 O2 Kit 3769: eBay Motors (item 230493821231 end time Jul-29-10 21:48:51 PDT)

The issue being how to I then log the A/F against RPM?

You could buy one of my pillar pods and put in a wideband AFR gauge

this is the one you want
Zeitronix Zt-2 Wideband Controller

we cant get to the cheapness of the one linked above but we can do a little better then normal for you.

are we ready to start up a zeitronix group buy?

I am all for a group buy but can the Zeitronix you reference plot A/F to RPM or do I need additional parts for the logging?

yes the base zeitronix kit will do afr, rpm and tps without the purchase of anything else (other then a little wire/solder to connect in the signal). if you have an old k-type thermocouple laying around you can feed that in for the EGT. i would surely recommend the boost sensor option for a srt6 though.

What does the boost sensor option run?

I run the AEM UEGO on my race cars, simple. just a gauge and a sensor. has a 0-1v preout and a 0-5v so you can datalog.

http://www.buyimportperformance.com/..._p/30-4100.htm

for dual o2 sensors (like we have) we run this. FAST dual wideband. It can read individually, or average them. Its been one the best ones we've run with the z06 and havent had an issue yet

http://www.rpmoutlet.com/mt.htm

the one in the top right corner

LM1 is cheap and is set up to emulate the narrowband out of the box.

Already have an 02 bung installed.

With the AEM UEGO I don't see anyway to log A/F against RPM without a data logger. Same issue with the FAST unit.

The LM1 looks like it would fit the bill but is a bit more than the Zetronix unit. How do you hook this up to graph against RPM? Do I need to purchase the RPM kit or is there another way?

It looks like the Sniper AF-5000 would work also.

Or a cell phone/video recorder. If you have the guages near enough and do not want a permanent system and are just looking to match your readings with your rpms.... That's called a ghetto logger. LOL

the fast unit logs internally, you just have to buy the rpm module.

the aem has to be externally datalogged.

PLX Devices Inc. - Multi Gauges, Single Gauges, Sensor Modules, Wideband Air Fuel Ratio, Data Logging, Fuel Saving / Scan Tools

PLX, has extra cost datalogger.

Still trying to learn here and make an informed decision.

So I get the PLX and it logs the A/F ratio and can support a number of other sensors. What do I use to monitor RPM?
