Aftermarket Parts
Hello,
I am UK based and I bought my Crossfire just over a month ago, and like many of you I have been struggling to find aftermarket parts for the car. I have noticed many threads dedicated to those that are looking for aftermarket front lips, rear spoiler lips and customer bumpers, etc (those are just the threads I started!)
I have purchased some items from a company called AutoXclusive.com that some of you may well be aware of as they are US based, and I have vented my frustrations towards lack of availability of aftermarket parts to a gentleman named James at AutoXclusive.com and he has sent me a very promising reply that I felt necessary to share:
I greatly appreciate the detailed reply. We have been servicing Crossfire
owners with German accessories since 2006. I believe along the way gaining a good customer base. As a previous XF owner myself I have personal interest in helping XF owners with needed accessories. I completely understand the addiction and I greatly want to help.
We specialize in Fibreglass items, we can produce ANYTHING. We have produced a long list of custom items for Hyundai and Kia owners, the quality is very good and superb fitment guaranteed. However, what we will need is a detailed sketch and/or a physical item in hand to replicate that is what's desired.
If the forum members can put their heads together to come up with the design, the majority approves and interest is high.. I will have the item produced. I can even quote the resale cost prior to production to ensure the price is suitable/acceptable.
Now I am by no means an expert, but I know some of you guys are, and there seems to be a REAL possibility that we can have a supplier/manufacturer for aftermarket parts that will consider our individual requirements.
