All of the sudden, the fuel fill door (the big flappy thing that blends in with the rest of the car) wont close anymore. It locks when I lock the whole car and the pin that makes the "click" sound when you open and close it still works.

It just basically lies there and moves around. Very annoying...The Service manual doesent provide any info (section 23-115)....

Any ideas?

A new mystery to solve.......

 

is the lock engaging with the door open?

 

Old mystery with an easy fix...... The strap that holds the gas cap to the fill nozzle is twisted. Straighten it out, and life will be good again. This happened to me the first week I had the car. Now I am more careful to ensure it is not twisted.

Same thing happen to me last spring , easy fix !

 

I cannot believe that this was that easy to fix. It has been driving me nuts for the last 3 weeks. I could not figure it out.

I managed to snap off the body cover from the plastic hinge AND THEN LOSE IT while moving. Is there a way to replace it or do i need to place the whole door and have it painted to match? embarrassing.
