WHAT IS NOT RIGHT WITH UP GRADES????
There was a long discussion a while back about what the car needed.

This is the first car I have bought that only had two things on the option list. auto tranny color of leather (and for the UK cider was not a option) and a choice of color (UK did not get white as a choice)

I had added, from the dealer, tracker security, to keep the insurance payments as low as possible. (in UK a tracker device will activate when the car is stolen and alert the police, who have a monitor in there car that will track down the stolen car.)

I have also improved the lighting, got rid of the egg yoke look in the wichy way lights, put K&N's in, bought a trunk cover and replaced the amber rear reflectors with red. Out of all that only two are for my taist. The rest is for added security, improved milage, or added safety.

It may improve resale value, but it will not effect it. Most of the mods I have seen the guys and girls list can be taken off prior to sale and the orginal put back on.

I for one love reading about the mods. Gives me great ideas and it is a hugh chunk of this form. Without talking about mods, what would we talk about. Problems and the fun we have but, that type of forum would get tiring after awhile.

To each there own.

Fudge me in the goat's behind... I hope my dealer works decently hard... ive heard all these horror stories about how slow it was to work on the Xfire... ... i better get my Fudging free rental car....

Good luck! I hope the pcm was not damaged during removal/install... MB connectors can be easily damaged by inexperienced hands. It may be helpful to give a detailed explanation to the tech as to what has been done. Finding a man-made problem can be hard to do without all the facts. As a tech, you look for things that fail.. not man-made induced problems. I always appreciate someone who is straight forward and help me save a little time.

Again-- Hope you get it straightened out!

Well its being towed there now... so we'll see what they say... but the removal was extremely careful and done very slowly... so i dont see how it could have damaged anything... other then when we put the battery back on there was a very large voltage spark when it went back on... even though the car was completely off... it was strange... maybe that could have jolted something

Okay.. its at the dealer and this is what they said...

The car's computer is only registering 1/3 of the power in the car... thats why it starts the fans and the electronics but not all of them... Some how the main computer inside was zapped so they are replacing all these parts right now... I should have my car by tonight or tomorrow...

But now im extremely scared to go have this done again... I know if I don't disconnect the battery that I might not have this problem but is it worth taking the chance? ... I really wish there was someone around Michigan that has had this done by a professional that has did this before on a Crossfire

warranty is being used... so im all set on that... its not anyones fault really... It's just a risk you take if you are having this chip modded I guess... so im a good example of "it could happen to you" situtation

That's good that the warranty is being used. How did you explain what happened to the unit to the dealer? A lot of them would of said, "SOL"... you tampered with it.
