Carbon fiber key fob
So i got my sample pc of 3m di-noc wrap in today and since i had already orded the 4ftx5ft roll i put it on my key fob. Turned out ok not perfect but still pretty cool. Btw i was going to put the 3m di-noc on my headliner but instead ill put it on the interior trim and center consol and use black suede for the headliner and pillers.

Looking good, Hunts.
Brian, if they end up doing it, let me know. If the work id good and the price right, I would drive up and have them do mine as well. I just don't trust myself with that stuff either.

The 3M material is the same material that Max and I both used to do our center consoles prior to the Dragon this year. The material is very flexible and becomes extremely easy to use especially once it has been heated. The problem with the interior is the center stack is extremely complex with its various curves, convex/concave surfaces, and openings for the switches.
I like how my interior looks, but in same breath I wish there was a way to do the main piece. I know Rockstar on 96th St is an authorized 3m installer and they may be able to do the install.

When you say you wish you could do the main part are you talking about the center of the dash everything around the radio although it does look hard ill be trying to do it tommarow. So far i have the door handle/tweeter cover, Coverd. the storage lid in the middle is coverd but the rest will be done tommarow
Hunts, that is the piece I am referring to. The piece that covers the heat/ac control, the switches, and radio. The problem I ran into is the thing is so darn complex that the vinyl wants to return to its original position. The only set up that seems to get it right is the process used by SRT-Six, Karl. I do not believe that he uses the 3M process.
When I saw Max's car, the lip that is immediately below the switch had an area in which the 3M had pulled away from the panel. I also had this happen and tried applying three different ways. Good luck! Make sure your piece is very clean and use the 94 tape primer. That should help you as well.

Jason, that is what I am worried about, spending all that time and effort, not to mention having the adhesive all over the parts and possibly scratching them in the process. I have wanted to do some stuff with the wrap, but until I find someone I trust at a reasonable rate, I will not be undertaking this.
Ok so im done with the 3m carbon fiber job, First off its not perfect but its very close. Around the corners its pulled away just a tad bit but it does not look bad i would be the only one to know im sure. and othere than that its flawless.

Looks very good, Hunts. I think if I go this route, I will have to change out the switches and toggles for black ones like beaner did, the silver now looks slightly out of place IMHO.
OK. well this morning i went for a drive and the little corners were driving my ocd crazy. since i knew they where bubbled out from the edges so i took my fiber nail to try to push it back in"that never stays" and made a slight tear in the viynle. Me being ocd about things like this made me mad. So in order to get ride of the bubbling around the complex corners i simply cut it so it would lay flat and went back with what i call vinyle patchs to cover up any silver that might now show. The patchs you cant see if you match the pattarn up just right and heat it up. So now my corners look good and i dont have to worry about that. just thought id let yall know
