Default Soft Glass?

Has anyone had problems with their front windshield showing visible number of glass pits? I have noticed that my windshield is covered with very small pits. I am taking my vehicle to the dealership tommorrow to have this checked. I think it may be a defect in the glass. :!:

Not yet, but I had a large rock hit mine yesterday and I expected a crack, if not more. Have checked, re-checked and the windshield is fine -- tough gass......

Pitted windshields are a normal occurence here in the desert southwest... there's no way around it. Only recourse is to get the windshied changed out under ones insurance. IMO your not going to have any luck under warranty... normal wear and tear.

I had two stone hits on my way back from Maine yesterday. First one bounced right off. Yes!!!!
Second one a few hours later, well, I now have an appointment with the glass repair man. Damn.
Oh well, glass can be fixed. Paint chips or dings are more permanent. Guess I am lucky?

I had a small rock hit my winshield a week after buying the car and it put a small nick in the glass. I try to avoid riding behind dump trucks now. I believe that it probably has something to do with the low profile and aerodynmaics of the car since I quite often have gravel/pebbles hit my windshield.

I found a perfectly big round scratch in my front windshield that I bet is the exact size of the buffing pad they used on my car.

I just called the dealer and they will look into replacing the windshield tomorrow and call me....
