The Crossfires are starting to show up a lot in my home town. They still look really nice, but when I see a 56 year old woman driving one like she stole it ... it loses some of its appeal.

I'm actually thinking about keeping my RSX a little longer and just buying a bike to have some fun on. I've decided I can buy a $5k bike to have fun on and then just buy a practical car of which I like the appearance ... then I can stop worrying about trying to make my car go faster and just buy a car for practicality. And the RSX is hella practical, 42mpg on the interstate, insurance cost is practically nothing... I might as well keep the thing and get its worth out of it.

I would imagine there are a few more women here that won't be too happy with your attempt at humor (I assume that's what it was).

My Bride can out drive both of my daughters and a lot of men! And she's 1000% woman.

My bet is his girl friend (if he has one) doesn't look near as good as my 56 year young Bride. She's 3 years older than me but looks a bunch younger than me.... And NO surgical tricks either.

 

Actually, she looks pretty much the same as the 50-ish year old woman that I saw driving a Crossfire like mad just yesterday. Same stereotypical short-hair, blonde, yeah... that kind.

And I said nothing of your wife. And if you want to take my comment about age as an insult then that's you're prerogative. I was just commenting that it changed the image of the car for me personally.

Raucous teenagers drive the RSX because it's "cool." I bought it because I liked it and because it was practical. If I wanted a fast car to look cool in, I would have gotten the RSX Type-S, or a 350Z, or one of a hundred other fast kid-cars. I bought the base model RSX because it's just as much fun to drive as the Type-S on the road, I really like the look of it, and it costs me nearly nothing comparatively to drive and maintain. 35mpg in the city, 42mpg on the interstate. It burns no oil. I do all of the maintenance on it myself from oil changes to tire rotations and so forth. It's a reliable and fun car... isn't that how you think of your Crossfire? Then why are you bitching at me?

Just wanted to say your lovely wife does not look to be anywhere near 50. Your a lucky man to have such a wonderful woman by his side. Just thought I'd pay her and you a complement. I'm 34 and hope that my wife looks as good when she's nearing 50. By the way I'm new to this group, but I can't help but notice that James does not seem to have many friends on this forum. I think you guys should all do the one thing that would obviously **** this guy off most. Ignore the stupid little SOB. He seems to crave attention and ignoring him would probably make him nuts.
