So my ac condensor crack about a half inch away from the fitting to the compressor line. And chrysler wants $800 for a new one. Any one have any ideas? The thin tubing looks risky to tig weld and. I doubt jbweld will hold the psi

Replaced mine last year with the one from an 03 SLK32, which you can find aftermarket for about $180. Had a hard time convincing the AC shop that it would work, but they're exactly the same, and even carry the same (aftermarket) part number.
If you need it, I can look at the car tonight, and get the part number for a cross reference ?

Thanks for the ideas. I brought the condenser to a local race car shop and had them weld the crack and pressure test it for $30 bucks. The way the lower lines are clamped together im sure more ppl are going to have this problem .... I would def suggest drilling the rivit out on the clamp and just leave it off.
The two clamped hard lines are at the bottom on the condensor on the left side. I don't think you can see it from up top.if you take off the fog light covet you can prob see it with out tearing the car apart
