Talking WoW... this sh** is LOUD!!!

Hi guys, i have a question for those of you who know about exhaust systems. I bought a Magnaflow cat back for my 04 N/A and after a while i took it out because the noise was getting too much into the car. I like the sound though but i would like it to be just a little lower. My car has 2 of 4 catalyst removed and the NW Dual Intake. I would like to know about what mods could help me lower the noise produced by the catback because i would like to put it back on.

Thanks in advance

Personally i have pretty much the same set up and I'm very happy with it. If you wanted to tone it down, i'd put 2 12" glass packs where the cats were.

That was my plan if i was able to get my front cats removed, but the local shop wasn't able to get my front cats off because he couldn't drop the system down. Also he said he couldn't gut them because of the fancy German Catalytics have some spiral/funnel type cats.

Now with my Eurocharged tuning turning off my check engine light, I really would like to get them suckers off.

I was thinking more of installing them in the same place as the rear (removed) cats. On the down pipes. It would take some welding expertise (and cutting) but I would think...

Or make a true dual and install them staggered in the middle?

What about adding some Sound Deadening Material to the trunk and maybe even the floorpan.

This stuff works well on classic rods and the like & it's cheaper and better then Dynamat ....

Eastwood Thermo-Coustic Sound Deadener Material
