Four bolts a seat. Seat heaters and airbag sensors wiring. Some people said they got a airbag cel, we never have.

I tried to get useful specs to allow the use of a shorter seat so I could stop polishing the head liner with my helmet.Woody BTW seat is way heavy. Woo dy

My airbag light is on all the time when the passenger seat is removed.

Mine airbag light came on as well when i removed the seat and drove the car around. I had to get some water out of the car as the front drain was clogged and a bit got into the car so i ripped all the interior out+ the seat on the passenger side to make sure nothing would be damaged. I was pissed when i saw the light come on because i thought the water fried the sensor and figured that would be an expensive fix but once the seat was back in i disconnected the battery and reconnected and it was clear on the next startup.

They are quite heavy seats, id guess 50+ pounds each

My airbag light comes on when I unplug and remove the passenger seat too. When I plug it back in all returns to normal. I'd love to have a lightweight racing seat one day for track days. If you decide to do it, please share what you had to do.

So 4 bolts and 3 plugs for both seats? Sounds like a half hour job. Don't care about lights as long as nothing goes freaky.

Hardest part for us was getting them out the door. Each seat was 42#. The seats we put in were 16#. The seats we put in were on slides I just made a bracket to go from the factory mounts on the floor to the seats. I actually had to raise the seats as the car is built for my wife.

That is gorgeous. I plan to go black and green to match interrior lighting. Whats the 42 and 16? Is that the weight? My stock seats will be mated to an xbox steering wheel for Forza 4 this tuesday.

Sorry to revive this thread... Daithi2, can you go more in depth on the brackets you made. I have the exact same Bomz racing seats but in all black. You took the stock tracks and mounted a crossmember flat bar 12 inches apart right? Where did you mount on the stock tracks? on top of the stock sliders? Any info or pics would be greatly appreciated.

I have steel flat bar coming 1"x18"x1/8" X4. Which will work, I was mainly inquiring about mounting on the stock slider connected to the stock track or mounting on the stock track. Thanks for the offer though, if I cant get my idea to pan out then I will let you know.

Its unfortunate that I have Bomz Racing seats then..

Ill be sure to take pictures and let people know if my idea pans out, it shouldnt be too hard. Its very basic and has potential to be a very effective route for people with interest in seat swapping.

i wish i had pics..

basically i took two pieces of flat strap the length of the mounts of the floor. put one end in a break and bent them to align with the floors contour. mark and drill holes. then for each strap i tig'd two tabs, these will bolt to the slider on the seats. doing it this way does raise the seat, i did it like this because the driver of the car is 5'5".
