Default hardtop to covertible srt6

Hey all. I know its unreasonable to turn a hardtop into a convertible, normally... I really don't wanna sell my srt. Its so unique! And finding a convertible one would be near impossible.

So, if anyone has done this, or checked into it... how much roughly would it cost to do it? And, if the structural integrity is comprimised can I still pass state inspections etc?

Why butcher a car that will never be right, nor worth anything after the alteration. A nice SRT Roadster is not that hard to find. It would be cheaper to buy one than to modify a coupe IMO.

I have ALWAYS wanted to do a targe style where you would have a fully removeable section between windshield and rear glass, like T-tops but no bar through the middle.

It would be badass, but it would be expensive, near impossible to do correctly, and would add significant weight to the chassis in the necessary additional bracing in the undercarriage.

Nothing is impossible with the right budget, but why would anyone do this other than just a project, and no expectation to ever recover the investment. Sell your coupe, and find an SRT roadster. There are a couple of them for sale here on the forum. IBLUBYU has a low mileage roadster for sale, and the price of his car is less than you would spend on converting yours.
