Default GOT HID'S

I just bought a pair of HID last night. They came out of an Infinity/Nissian i believe their H7. Everyone that has them how did u put them in. Did u take off the headlights. What wires need to be spliced. Where was the ballast mounted. All info and pics would be great.
Thanks

I used an HID kit which came with the ballast and igniters. The headlamp housings do not need to be removed.

Default nice

The headlights came from a Nissian/Infiniti. They have the ballast and ignitor, so then the only thing i would have to do it splice the power and ground going to the low beam ????
and how would i get the wire into the rubber cap that goes around the headlight. Anyone with good install pics??

Cut a slit into the rubber cap and run it through it.

Don't cut the factory harness, use wiring tabs from radio shack. Solder if you like. No need to hack up the factory harness.

Default Wire Tabs

Nice, Nice.
Okay might sound stupid but when it comes to electric things i am clueless. Those wiring tabs where does it go are tehy the clips that split into the wire or connectors that slide inside the factory harness pins. sounds stupid just want top know b4 i do it tommorow.

Here are some pictures of my installation.

http://www.dfwsbr.com/crossfire/exterior/hid/

The kit I used was originally purchased for my Eclipse. It didn't fit directly in so I had to modify the tabs on the actual bulb. You are going to need to make sure the bulb fits securely with out having any angles in the housing.

DO NOT TOUCH the bulb wiht your fingers. Oil will get on the bulbs and could explode. You do not want glass fragments in the housing.

If you are unsure if anyone has touched them, use a clean paper towel and some rubbing alcohol to remove any oil from your hands.

Default Tried to do it

What a pain in the ***. I tried this weekend to put them in. I wanted to take the headlight out to have more rom to play to actually make sure they fit good and to see everything up close. Got all the screws out but the healidht would not get out looks like I will have to take off the bumper in order to get the headlight out , what a pain in my ball$. So needless to say they didn get done this weekend. I still am like a retarted when it come to these lights. I looked at my freinds supra and it looks easier on his. I jsut dont get where the wire gets taped into on the headlight harness. I dunno I am about to just throw them in my fogs cuz that should be easier. Please feedback would be great. Ohh and thanks DFWSBR for those pics I really need them in ure car looks great with them in.
