Default offset bulbs? Please help.

Hi Guys,

Just to let you all know, My XF arrives next week and in the meantime I am shopping around for all those "extras" that need to go on the car.

As I dont have the car here with me, I have a few questions:

1. Are the front and rear indicator bulbs offset or opposite pin bulbs?

2. Going to purchase a lowering kit for the car, it sits way too high, so about to order some Ebach Pro spings, am I doing the right thing?

3. Just purhased a Pinoeer Axic X1 head + multichanger... again, hope everyone are happy with this kit...

Look forward to the replies and speaking more often on this forum...

10 years driving BMW's, I hope this was a good move!

) Neil.

Welcome and congrats on your new purchase. I got mine last Sat. Where in the UK are you?

Re. no 3. Let me know how you get on with this as I want one too. How much did you pay for it? Let me know where you manage to install the CD changer, pics would be great during your install.

Thanks.

Congrats! Be sure to update your posting signature with last 6 of VIN #, colors, tranny, etc. once you get it!

I like the stance, but to each his (or her ) own. Use the search tool, try keyword 'Eibach'. There are several threads here, as well as pics of lowered Crossfire's.

I hope so too. You made more of a lateral move (in my opinion), whereas for me the Crossfire was a giant step up. I reach 5 months ownership end of this month, and I'm still smiling :!: 8) :!:  :!:

I would have if I'd understood the question...

If you mean are the two 'pins' on the bulb in line with eachother (180 degrees) or offset (some other degrees), then yes the turn signal bulbs are "offset". The European bulb spec for the turn signal bulbs is "Y21W" (i.e. 7507A). So far, at least over this side of the pond, the only "upgrade" bulbs I've been able to find that are direct plug-in replacement are the Silverstar 7507AST.
