Burnt out ECU :/
I found out that a pair of wires shorted out on the crossfire and fried my ecu. I am trying to find out the steps needed in getting a new one and how to actually make it work. I highly doubt it would be a direct plug and play and would really appreciate any advice or help. I see them on Ebay but they all seem to be for a 2004. My car is a 2005 base with manual trans.
The one photo i attached is hard to see but you can kind of see the black burn mark running along the connection prongs (not sure of the actual name)

I'd say its worth a try.
Sorry to hear about your troubles.
Where are you located?
As Onehundred80 suggested look into a repair. I know that you can get a refurbished TCU but I am not sure about the ECU.
The PITA is that the ECU is VIN coded so you just can't go grab an ECU and drop it in (as you suspected). Reach out to Eurocharged and see if they can do the VIN coding.

you will, of course, have to have it programmed.
Omg I know! I'm going to try and have it ready for cscs. I signed up for sigma time attack for the 13th but I had to postpone that for a later date.
Either way I will be at cscs with or with out the crossfire. It's too much fun to miss out!
And thank you guys for the support!

Ah......same day as Fleetwood. OK screw Fleetwood.
Just kidding. It's a show not to be missed.
The ecu unfortunately got shorted out by a couple of O2 sensor wires. So luckily I managed to with the help of Rudy, replace th ecu
By the way the crossfire managed to place second in the street rwd class, thank again guys!
