I have a lil symbol that goes off in my car that looks like a bucket with some water in it does anybody know what that means

Any help appreciated

 

Low coolant level.

 

+1 chances are low coolant. If you have a manual all icons are on page 3 I think. If not go to this thread and download a users manual. If you have an iPhone / iPad you can save the PDF to iBooks for reference in your pocket. I keep owners and repair on all my devices.

YES, add some distilled water to the surge tank.

 

Yes radiator fluid. You need to check the level in the coolant reservoir when the car is cold. Do not open it when the engine is hot.

 

Ok good looking on that imma definitely handle that tryin to keep the car running at top shape.

 

Actually it means the car is really dirty and needs a good wash.

 

How the heck did I make it through the first 66 years of my life without such jewels of wisdom like these provided by Dave ?
( is there a setting that will tell you that one of the little valve cover thingeys is leaking again and there is a dirty spot on the engine ? )
