An honest to goodness electric supercharger, really!
Looking at Garrett for specifications on cores, found this nugget, worth the price of admission. The specs even seem plausable. FYI Woody Enjoy.

Seems interesting, its defiantly better than the usual computer fan super chargers, but I'd be surprised if it actually could produce the boost they claim. It is not made by Garrett, just uses a Garrett turbo with an electric motor to replace the hot side.
Some of the other guys were playing around with these on ethanol powered vehicles when I was in engineering school. Didn't accomplish much I recall.
I was always bothered by the energy conversion losses in the drive. Mechanical to electric (alternator) to mechanical (motor).
Neat link though! I haven't seen one in a long time.

How high would you have to go to get a decrease of 3psi?
I guess I can find out on the web, I'll be back.
I don't think that motor is big enough to push much air, but the idea is good. It would also take some pretty good knowledge to program a controller to get it to act properly, basically would need to use the/a MAP sensor to sense engine vacuum. It would also need to read from the TPS to tell if lack of vacuum (under load situation) is due to heavy throttle or some other reason not due to acceleration.
A lot of work, probably more than a regular turbo because you still have to tune the ECM.

IF it were to make 3 PSIG it would be with the output blanked off, not flowing any air. It looks good till you see the motor. The motor would need to be one of those 3 phase R/C motors that can whip up terrific rpm. Not 6000, as a turbo at 6000 does nothing; till like 60,000 RPM.
