Here's pics of SLK gauges





Now I'm not neccessarily interested in the gauges themselves although I do like the white, the piece I want you to look at is the piece that goes around the gauges, and if you look by the key hole in the 2nd picture, you'll see where it ends.
I think this piece if missing out of our cars, and I want to find out if we can buy this piece. It looks pretty hot having dash between the gauges, along with the chrome gauge rings, it looks nice than in the xfire.

I'm going to see if I can find this piece cheap, out of a junkyard or a totaled SLK, and see if it fits. Anyone do anything like this yet?

Here's another cool piece off an SLK, it's a rear difuser:



I wonder if these would also fit, I think they would look SWEET on my black xfire. I'm trying to find where to get them from so I can call and ask how they connect.

And lastly, I heard it's easy to fit a CLK grill to an SLK, so you can probably do it to our cars too. I'm not interested in this mod at all, but someone here might be.

I'm thinking of installing a Carbon Fiber dash kit only on the center console it about $200.I'm getting tired of the plan silver.

I found a guy selling the gauge cluster dash piece for only $80... He says its the black that I need but I'm waiting for pics, and meanwhile I am going to check the xfire to see exactly how it would all go together...

 

On exoticwooddash.com or woodtrim.com the 2nd might be cheaper but I was only thinking getting a complete kit and using parts.They also make blue on black.

Here's an actual pic of the SLK gauges I can buy off this guy... Does anyone know what will happen with the mileage on them? Or if there is a way to reset the mileage to mine? Since my car is leased I don't want to get in trouble for tampering with this stuff. But you gotta admit these will look a lot better than the stock.
