The part number for the Focal Set is 165W, but any 6.5" set would fit in that location.

All the speakers are hooked up to the HiFonics amp, and no, the stock tweeters are disabled after you hear the Focal's the stock ones sound like crap.

I've been into car audio for quite some years now, and Focal is my favorite speaker manufacturer.

Thanks for the reply, your car must sound so perfect.

I was wondering, if I was to disconnect the door tweaters, and install the focals, can I wire in the new focals directly into the left and right rear speaker channel of my Avic X1?

I dont use the rear speakers as I now have the bass unit in the boot area.

It's been a few months since the last post in this thread. Aybody here have any new info on sub installs? Are there any makes that would fit the factory mounts?

There are not that many Crossfires in my area so I'm not too comfortable taking it to someplace that has not worked on one before. Does anybody know any good installers in the St. Pete/Clearwater area?

Okay, so i have a base coupe lease right? well, i'm gonna put 2 10's or maybe one 12 in it, most likely MTX, and i was wonderin what you all think. Could i pull off a clean install? my dad (who just retired from 33 years at the DC world HQ here in michigan) says i could prolly pull it off.
i can prolly drill a few holes if need be, for mounting and such, in small, non noticeable spots.
I've already put a few interior neons in it, it looks cool. Gonna get a few more, by christmas.

Before you buy the MTX check out Adire Audio. Very reasonably priced and much higher quality. Secondly this isn't the car I would pick to start car audio tinkering. There are structural components as well as the gas tank in the divider. So drilling holes in the wrong places can cause big problems. Don't get me wrong I all about DIY but in this instance I would say have it done by a pro especially since it is a lease. Or if you want to take a road trip to TX I'll give you a hand.

haha a road trip sounds like a bit of fun. Don't think i'll be that way anytime soon though. Well, my buddy shane is a dealer for MTX, and he said he could prolly hook me up. As far as installation goes, i was thinking of bringing it into my OTC Automotive Tech class. We mostly do brake jobs and such, but we do misc. stuff like that as well. And i know a few guys there who have done this kinda stuff before. I will look into whree to drill and all, though. Thanks for the tip.
I will also look at Adire.

Cool Re: Rear subs replacment.

depends what kind of base u r looking 4 // slow movement or its like earthquake, shaking deep...go with some kicker comp vr// more loud pounding hair moving, clean bass. JL Audio// -- now 4 the amps either JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate or Prescion Power don't forget the capacitor...I chose a JL 12" sub/Fosgate amp.
