Default Xfire newby ? How do you pop off the silver engine cover?

I want to look into modifying my intake but I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks

It actually just pops right off. Grab both sides and pull. It should pop right off buddy. By the way, Welcome were all cool people who help each other out when someone has a question or a problem. Also we all love pictures of our rides. I think were kind of ego maniacs like that. So build up your album, if you have means to make that possible. One more thing, there are no such things as stupid questions. So feel free to ask away. Enjoy yor car, and have fun.
Later.

Got a PM saying that it just pops off, and he was right cause I just went out and popped it right off. It's a little stiff to get on and off but after you get it off you'll understand how it works. Also I would like to ask; how bad is the restriction on the intake? It doesn't seem to be that bad or am I wrong about this? The stock air filter looks a little restrictive and that's about it to me. Just my 2 cents.

I'm still on the break in period on my engine, but after 1,000 miles I'll definately do something to the intake. Not too sure about the validity of the claims people have about their super-modified intakes though. The stock one looks to be a pretty good design.

Grab the back edge and you will find pockets to put your fingers into and pull up on the engine cover. Lift it from the side or front edge and it will probably break.
