Default Back Up Sensor System

Is anyone interested in adding parking sensor system to there XF?

I have access to a 4 sensor system with speaker. The sensors can be painted to match our XF exterior color, with no reduction in sensor performance.

FOUR SENSOR OBSTACLE DETECTION SYSTEM:

-Four flush mounted ultrasonic sensors integrated seamlessly into your vehicles bumper.

-Sensors can be painted to match the bumper color,

-Interior mounted speaker provides Audible Obstacle Warning.

-6 different warning sounds depending on distance.

-Automatically activates when you shift into reverse.

-No calibration required.

-Helps prevent backing into objects or property.

-Provides distance indication when parallel parking and bavking into tight spaces.

If you can't reverse a car, you shouldn't be driving it.

Take a look at how many cars with parking sensors have dented their bumpers cos their systems failed to detect something behind them.

What we need is some kind of camers to see where the big rear roof bars are. Reversing can be hard as visibility is so poor.

In my works car park of about 80 cars, there are at least 5 cars (Two BMWs, A Volvo, a Jag and a Merc) with parking sensors with very definite bumps where they have reversed into a pole or bollard which must have been positioned between the sensor coverage. I also counted 4 cars without sensors with similar dents.

I think a parking sensor gives the driver an unwarranted comfort factor so they rely on the beeps rather than looking behind.

Yes, that is if you can see behind the car. I can lose a train in the blind spots in this car.

Default Alternate to Overpriced Chrysler Part

Andrew & Forum member,

The parking sensors are the same as listed in the chrysler option, but no L E D lights. But here is the offer to XF Member.

Back up parking sensor system.
Cost $ 119.99

Send me your paint codes, I will have my body shop paint the sensors to your XF color code provided.
Cost $ 85.00

Shipping via UPS, flat rate $12.00. (USA members only.)

The only thing you would need to do is get them installed.

Does this sound like a deal good enough for FX Members?

Turn around time 3 to 7 days.

Total cost for equipment delivered: $ 216.99

Please leave feed back.

Regards,
