Default Gas Pedal resistive and stiff

My Gas pedal seems really stiff and resistive. I feel like i have to apply more pressure that I do in my other cars. Is that normal? I assume there is no way to adjust it /!?

No, there isn't. But mine stiffens up in cold weather and even "snaps" as I pass about 15% throttle.

I assume my throttle position indicator should be replaced.

As to being harder to push than other cars, can't say I've noticed that - and I'm in a different rental car most every week.

the foot pedal is mounted in such a way, it may move to where it isn't seated in it's proper mounting. You have to get under there and take a look to make sure the mat or your foot has not dislodged it from the mount. I use to do this, when drag racing. I would shove down too hard too quick and knock it out of the mount.
