Crossfire Heater Blower On / Off / On / Off

Default Crossfire Heater Blower On / Off / On / Off

Hi Folks,
Im looking for some information on the heater on my 2005 05 plate crossfire, the heater
blower has started to be intermitent on off on off etc etc.
I have read through some of the posts on this forum and I'm now thinking its the blower
resistor, I live in Ayrshire Scotland can anyone tell me the best place to purchase the blower
resistorand roughly what i should pay realisticly.

Cheers Folks any info will be much appreciated.

the part is under the glove box 2 of 3 screws and it is out you may have to use the factory wire, as the one that comes with the part is too short good luck jim

Hi,
You have a faulty resistor, very common fault, Ive just purchased a new Resistor from ebay, item number 110930398302, It's from a Mrecedes SLK 200, exact same as Crossfire, £20, 10 minute job to swap over, hope this helps.

I agree that the resistor is the place to start with this issue, as it is the least expensive to replace. However the resistor did not fix my intermittent blower issue, it wound up being the control unit (the one in the center stack with the adjustment *****). There are several threads relating to these heater/AC issues here on the forum, and if memory serves there is one that gives instructions to test/troubleshoot before you start throwing money at it. Good Luck!
