Default hello, new crossfire owner.

Hello all, i am new crossfire roadster owner, and i am VERY disappointed by the cars performance, it is a 7 year old engine, with a 7 year old chassis.

i want to get a supercharger that will make it even faster than the SRT-6.

i want to know if anyone can suggest some supercharger, or maybe even if some company makes twin-turboes for the car.

i want to know all the mods that are avaible to the car, and i was wondering, since it is a SLK320, would the mods for that car work as well for the crossfire?

thanks in advance.

BTW this is my first car.

Make a little effort and do a search on this forum, we have pretty much researched and discussed every modification available... PS: why did you buy the car if you felt it was a seven year old under-powered dinosaur ?

Be nice Dan... My parents bought me my first car as well and it was a pretty spiffy two year old 1971 Triumph GT6+... S^^T I guess that dates me... 1973, 16 years old... DAMN... I HATE GETTING OLDER !!!

I was just wondering what Epyon wanted instead of a Crossfire, and why ?

Default Re: hello, new crossfire owner.

me, i wanted a SRT-4 or a 350Z, or a Cobalt SS.

i wanted a performance car/tuner car.

i wanted a manual tranny.

i cant have that in the crossfire, so i figured if the SRT-6 can have a supercharger, why can't i?

so now im looking for ways to increase the power of the car, because it really is dogg slow, and techologcally obslote. i mean, for 41k it doesn't have Variable Valve timing, which could have increased the horsepower by at least 20-30.

so i want a supercharger to fix that, tigthen the suspension, and any other stuff i can do.

BTW my dad fell in love with the car, because he thought that the car was made by germany so it must be good. (just to make a long story short)

Get it chipped and get some K&N Filters. Search the forum. It isn't the quickest car, but goes enough for me. You can only go as fast as the car in-front most the time anyway.

HMMM! Dad buys you a car and you ain't happy. My first car was a 1970 ford cortina, Dad did'nt buy me but found the car for me to pay for. I was a proud as punch even though it need a new interior, drive shaft, rear end and there was not near as much HP from that 1.6lt eng as there is in the CF.

Be greatfull I was 41 befor I could afford a car like this.

In answer to your question do a search all the info is there, unless you want your dad to do it for you.

So, your dad buys you a $40,000 car and you're complaining? I have only one response to this: if you're unhappy, then get a job and buy one yourself.

second that. when you work for something and pay for it yourself you have so much more self-respect than if something is given to you.

i rolled a 1986 two tone powder blue lincoln conttnental for 10 years. (highschool, college and grad school)

it is great that you have the opportunity you do. it seems like money is not an issue so get the Kleeman kit and let us know how it performs?

My dad bought me my first car. I was living in Cincinnatio Ohio, going to school where I needed car to commute. The 11 year old car cost my dad $100.; it was a 1954 Ford, 4 door sedan, torquoise colour with orange polka dots all over it. Since I could not afford a nice new 'professional' paint job and my mom insisted I do something before I could drive the thing, I went out and with her help, we brush painted black everything except the roof.
The roof, we took paint thinner and managed to remove the orange polka dot paint.

So EPYON, my unhappy friend, you don't know how lucky you are.

I can say the same thing about difficulty really appreciating how lucky we all are but boy am I happy now just being fortunate enough to own the Xfire and other vehicles we have.

all im asking is for people to tell me where can i get a supercharger, or a Kompressor.

to be honest i dont want to sound like a spoiled kid since i came to this country as an immgriant and slept on the floor for so long, only now are we beginning to become wealthy. again to be blunt i dont want to hear stories from older guys, from their life stories, i want to know how to get a supercharger into this car, since the SRT-6 can do it, so can i.

thank you, and i hope you don't get insulted but stop thread crapping.

Epyon, if you do a search (assuming the threads survived the upgrade), there are several discussions about super chargers. If I remember correctly, HDDP researched the top extensively.

i am searching, the biggest fault i think that the car has, and could have GREATLY benefited from would have been to have some form of Variable Valve Timing.

with that, i would have been in the high 290's horsepower. thats why 98% of the torque i get is between 2k-4k rpm.

after 4k rpm i am misfiring toooooo much, so after that i was thinking if i could actually install some kind of valve timing.

I don't know of anyone who has installed one yet. I think most people where turned off by the current cost.
