Not cheesy at all, very cool. I did not even notice.... From what I know about resetting an ECU, like for getting rid of a CEL or something, disconnecting the battery works. I would imagine it would work for the transmission too.

Do let me know how you make out. I think because people test drove my car before I bought it (it had 104 miles on it) it had an impact on the transmission. After the 1000 mile breakin I started driving it a bit harder and within 800 miles it has adapted nicely.
