Default Power Top control module PN 5104947AA

I have had the intermittent "flashing spoiler list" issue for some time now. Found a dealer who at last gave the error code as : DTC 1020-00 and suggests the power top control module PN 5104947AA needs replacing.

Where is it located and what does it look like please?

Trying to find a second hand one as the new one will cost around £350 .

Well I guess he knows everything when he's spending your money.
My guess is a wheel speed sensor.
Does the cruise control work when it is flashing?

The spoiler light is flashing and he wants to replace the TOP module?
I wonder, if your car was a coupe, what would he say.

If you really want to waste the 350 pounds, this is where it is, but you should listen to 180 and pizzaguy.
( and when was the last time the battery was replaced ? )

well it is a strange situation and clutching at straws because:
  • Battery new
  • Spoiler still works fine at 65mph, goes up and down fine around 30 mph even when light flashing
  • Top wont go up or down with light flashing
  • light flashes sometimes - been on and off 3 times whilst driving today.
  • With spoiler light off everything 100% fine.
  • new relays fitted.
  • ECU checked and ok.
  • No other lights/errors come on.
  • ????

First of all . . . You posted on a thread that has been inactive for more than 5-1/2 years. It's not likely you'll get a response from the previous person that posted there . . .

5104947AA is the Chrysler part number. That part has been discontinued and is no longer available through Chrysler parts suppliers.

You should search for the actual Mercedes part number which is A1938200326

Ebay would usually be your first place to look but right now there are no current listings for that part. Below is a link to completed listings for that part so you can see what others have recently paid for that part:

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...&LH_Complete=1

You should search that part number on Ebay Motors / Parts & Accessories / Car & Truck Parts. It will show 0 for the search but click on the Save Search button. You will get an email whenever one is listed on Ebay.

I usually have one available but I am currently sold out too . . . Good luck!

PS - The OP on this thread was having issues with his spoiler. Why do you think you need to replace the convertible top control module?? What are the symptoms of your problem?

If you explained your problem you might get a solution. The original post tied the top control module to a spoiler which is hard to believe.
